I’m Aaron, and I provide automatic driving lessons in an electric car working with LDC. I help learners across Wakefield and surrounding areas build the confidence to become safe, independent drivers.
I provide structured, calm and supportive driving lessons across Wakefield, Sandal, Wrenthorpe, Outwood, Stanley, Horbury, Ossett, Normanton, Tingley, East Ardsley, West Ardsley, Lofthouse, Crofton, Featherstone, Pontefract and Castleford (WF1–WF10).
My Approach to Teaching
Learning to drive should feel clear, structured and achievable.
I take a friendly, step-by-step approach to lessons, adapting each session to suit the individual learner. My focus is always on building confidence alongside practical driving skills at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
The aim isn’t just to help you pass your test, but to help you become a confident and safe driver in real-world situations.
Why I Became a Driving Instructor
Before becoming a driving instructor, I spent over 10 years working in primary education, where I supported learning across multiple classes and helped pupils make steady progress.
This gave me strong experience in breaking down complex skills into simple steps, adapting teaching to different learners and helping people build confidence gradually. I’m also used to supporting nervous learners, giving clear feedback and creating a calm and structured environment where people feel able to learn and improve.
Alongside this, I hold a degree in Psychology. This helps me understand how people learn, manage pressure and build confidence. This is especially helpful when supporting new or anxious drivers.
My Training & Professional Development
I am currently working as a PDI (trainee driving instructor) on a Trainee Licence, gaining structured experience towards becoming a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). I receive ongoing training and support from an ORDIT-registered LDC instructor trainer. I follow the LDC system, which provides a structured, yet flexible, approach to learning tailored to each individual learner.
A Bit About Me
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my children. I often find myself helping them learn new skills or supporting them with their school and sporting activities. I’ve always enjoyed helping others improve, which naturally fits with my approach to teaching and supporting learners as they develop their skills behind the wheel.
My Lessons
My lessons are calm, supportive and structured. Whether you are a complete beginner or have had previous experience, I will help you build confidence, improve your skills and develop into a safe and independent driver.
Every lesson is focused on steady progress in a relaxed environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and learning at your own pace.
